We have begun a fundraising campaign that will raise the estimated cost of $400,000 Dollars to build this memorial honoring all Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines from the State of Michigan. This memorial will be a place for friends and families to remember our Heroes.

 This has been a grassroots effort. We have received many donations from individuals and small groups from $5.00 to $1,000 dollars. Donation requests have been sent to large Corporations and Grant making insitutions, but so far our requests have not been heeded.

There are more than 150 Michigan Soldiers killed in action from the Iraq War and more than 50 from Afghanistan. Many of these Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Marines are from our local communities. Not every city or town has the means to have a proper memorial. Having this Statewide Memorial to honor all of our troops will make sure no troop is left behind.
